World War 1 Comment
After looking at the website one thing that I really liked was the pictures. The pictures from the tench warfare, the weapons, the propaganda posters and etc. I am a very visual learner and after seeing the pictures I understand more what it was like. The trench warfare was what stuck out to me the most. I knew that trenches were involved in the war a lot but I didn't know all about the rats, frogs, lice and more. Also learning what it was like to live in the trenches. Normally when you learn about the war teachers talk about the fighting and what different sides (nothing against Mr.G, of course) but you never get to learn about what it was like. I feel really bad and I sometimes wish that I could of been back there in time and talk to the leaders of the countries in the war about how they were like in the trenches and make sure they did someting about it. Thanks for the great website Mr.G!! :)

Hey you (it's me!!),
I looked at all the different sites, and I agree with you. I lie all the pictures, too. They really give you a sense of what happened and what went on. They were helpful. See you in school Monday! PRAY FOR SNOW!!!!! :)

Although the pictures showing trench warfare didn't stick with me the best as others, I did find them really unbelievable. What soldiers had to go for for days in those trenches facing disease, blood, and constant gunfire must have been completely terrifying and terrible. I don't know how they did it and pulled through the war, but somehow the allies did and thank God too.
You said you wanted to know what it was like back then, but I think politics and war is just as interesting now. However, it must have been extremely harsh conditions to overcome. My great grandfather fought in World War II,but to imagine the life the soldiers have lived, not even pictures can describe. Personally I get more out of reading the experiences.
The pictures really force you to see how severe the war was. Not only are first hand writings important, but it's good to actually see what was happening and get in touch with the conditions
