Article Response

The article is truely amazing to me. The Patawomecks played an enormous role in the history of the United States, yet the tribe remains unrecognized as a legitimate tribe in the state of Virginia. The efforts of Robert Green to change this is inspiring. He is proud of his Inidan ancestry and is fighting to make the world, or atleast the state of Virginia, realized the importance of the Pawawmecks to Jamestown. His actions are encouraging to others to find out about their ancesters. I was definitely intrigued to know that Stafford had connections to our country's history.

The Patawomecks did play an enormous role in the history of the United States. It is very sad that they cannot be recognized in Virginia. I don't agree with the Racial Integrity Law, but I guess it was created for a reason. Natalie, you are right, Robert Green's perservance for his tribe's recognition is inspiring.

Natalie, I couldn't believe Stafford County was connected to our country's history either. Green is truly an inspiration to many, his eforts to find out about his ancestry have allowed many others to flourish from this knowledge. I'm proud to know that I live in a county that was actually considered an important place in history.
