New Deal/Depression Site

I didn't like this website as much as I liked the War World 1 website, mainly because it was hard to pick through the lesson plans and projects for teachers. Yet, I did find some interesting material. There was alot of information on the Depression hitting Alabama, which was interesting because I think of cities suffering in the Depression, not country areas. I also like the photo galleries. I can't believe that they had "Fight Against Cancer" posters. I wish the people back then could see the progress we've made in medical research! The Depression pictures are very disturbing and I feel hopeless because there is nothing we can do now. But, I guess that's just how history works!

Yes, I agree. The website was extremely hard to pick out information. But, like you said, there was a lot of information. The photo galleries did catch my eye, too. This site helped me learn more about the Depression.

I too had trouble finding information, but once I found some good information I found this more interesting. I though the photo galleries were very interesting as well. The website showed me how small towns were effected just like the big cities.

Yeah--it's pretty depressing to think how "amateur" their medical technology was then. I'm sure someone our age will say the same thing about us 70 years from now--it's simply how elapse of time and progression go hand in hand, I guess.
