That Website Comment Thing-y

I really enjoyed the article The Magpie Sing the Great Depression about the magazine of the DeWitt Clinton High School. I just find it so much easier to relate to what the teens were going through. It just makes it more real in my mind and helps me understand better.

I also chuckled to myself as I read one of the letters that was published in The Magpie named "This Younger Generation" by Sidney Chayefsky. It sounds alot like something we would say or e-mail a friend.

Maybe we haven't changed as much as we like to think.

I think that the Magpie Sing the Great Depression part of the website was the most interesting part of the website. I agree that it makes the Depression more real and helps me understand the different sides of the Depression. Especially since that part of the website was about high schoolers, making it even more interesting.

I read the letter the "young generation" too. It's interesting to see what all the buzz was about then. The Magpie site did a great job of showing the effects of the Great Depression. I agree with Katie that it is awesome that high schoolers were a part of the site. The site had different sections, all of which described or illustrated a different aspect of the Great Depression and gave us an insight to the times.
