WWI

I enjoyed visiting the WWI site and viewing all of the different aspects of the war from dangerous sea warfare to vivid propaganda. Personally, my favorite parts were the poetry, letters, and photos. I read a variety of poems, some were even translated into English, about battles as they directly happened. They painted an accurate image of how life really was and included so many personal thoughts. Many described all of the surroundings and letters included every detail of what happened in only one day. The site gave me a better understanding of what life was like during WWI.

I liked the variety the site had to offer also. I don't think you can always trust what people write down to be accurate because there's usually some bioism, but there's generally some truth to it also. I think this site also gave me a new insight into WWI.

I agree with you as the poster, diaries, and poems helped understand the aspect of daily life for not just the soldiers but everyone involved to help fight the war like people at the homefront, women, and children. Overall the site did give us some helpful information to see ongoing event during WWI.

I found it neat that you could read memoirs from actual soldiers. This gives you a chance to see what life was actually like for a soldier. I liked reading the individual diaries and poems because they helped me envision what the soldiers were going through during the war.

The most interesting part of history is deffinately reading first-hand accounts. The website was great in terms of providing many of these types of sources, espescially since there were all types of media available.
