WW1 website

I like the website, its very simple and was easy to browse through. The website provided many varied links and topics about the war, just about everything was on it. I was impressed by the timelime and at how detailed it was to the day by day events of the war. I was able to find out that on my b-day 90 years ago : the French advanced on Craonna Ridge while British and German destroyers fought in Bight of Heligoland. I also got to browse through the "Visual Photographs" and the images were very dramatic and each had a helpful description of when it was taken. This website definately deserved the two thumbs up rating.

I agree. I think that the site was easy to go through, even with so much information it has on it. And the detail of the events of the war were clearly written and helped me to understand the concept of the war more.

The web site was really cool especially the propaganda posters. I noticed that a lot of them used bright colors to attract people and to try to make a jingoistic society. There was a lot of information on it and it's a good website if you are doing a WW1 project. I also liked the poetry that was written during the war, it was really good. Overall a very good website.

Haha. The first thing I did when I went to the web site was view the timeline. And then I was pretty surprised to find out that you were able to read what happened so and so many years ago on any date of the year. I also took a look at my birthday in 1915: British S.S. "Durward" sunk by submarine near Maas lightship.

Nat-I agree, the website was very informative! I did have a chanceto go to the timeline and look through...one can obviously tell that the people who created this timeline are very passionate about this. I totally respect that.

I liked the website too in part because is was easy to access and interesting to read the different stories. I didn't take a look at the timeline yet, but now I want to go back and find out what happened on my birthday!

Well I am very electronically challenged and I was glad to see that the website was very easy to browse through without having any frustration. But I also went to the timeline and looked at my birthday and found out that there was a Zeppelin raid on Paris in 1916. I liked the organization and how they broke it down by month, days, and years. It was very informative. Im surprised they didnt break it down to minutes and seconds. Plus, without the frustration of being confused on the computer, I was able to brose a lot more easily and enjoy what I was reading and what I was looking at. But, I have to say by far my favorite thing to look at was the propaganda posters. Some of them were so different then what we see today. I got to see what the culture and the attitudes were like during war and I really enjoyed it.
