I thought that the World War I website was really informative. There is so much information on the site about the war and I thought that the "Causes of the War" section was good. It seemed like although the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand was the "cause" of the war, there were many other different issues that brought the different countries into fighting. The relationship between Austria-Hungary and Serbia (Serbia didn't respond to Austria-Hungary's ultimatum) led to a declaration of war, which then brought in Russia, France, Britain, and the US. A war that was meant to be between two countries turned into a 'great war.' The site clearly explained the main cause of the war and then how the other countries were pulled into it because of their relations with other countries. I think this site is great for learning more about World War 1 and what exactly happened.

Yup, it's a great web site for someone like me who gets bored with wars (especially when doing reading). But, I have to say that this website was pretty cool and that I wouldn't have even tried to find it on my own.
Courtney-I definately agree. There were many other causes to this war, and I think it's a little unfair to have a war that's supposed to be between two countries turn into a huge debacle.
I agree: there were a lot of underlying causes leading up to the war and I think the website did a good job showing these causes. I also think the website did a good job of showing the different veiw points of the war.
100% agree with you that the site was very informative and it helped someone like me who doesnt know very much about the WWI learn. The Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand was like the spark of the beginning of the war. In my opinion, WWI has its links all the way back to the Indistrial Revolution. But because of the alliances, that is how so many countries were brought into the war. Overall, this site is defiantely great for learning exactly what happened, from all sides of the globe.
